Set up the new website! I've been meaning to reclaim some time back for myself to draw more and experiment with making a website. I felt really frustrated in the past making websites because I felt like I always needed to appear professional and slick. The closest to being creative was allowing myself a favicon or the color of a background. I don't really work on websites for a living so I eventually fell out of it once I got a job and no longer needed to try and make a resume website (the thought having having to hunt for a job and the endless nights on leetcode still makes me gag). Now I'm here and I can say whatever I want, design things however I want, and draw whatever I want. It feels nice. I definitely need to touch up the place more. Would be nice to improve the blog section to be automated such that I can just make a ton of markdown files as my entries, have a js file parse them, and auto-generate an entry. Additionally, I would love to have a little header on every page (could also auto-generate that as well if I wanted to spend time). That being said, I made this website with the idea that I don't need to automate every little thing. Sure, maybe I copy-pasta all my headers/footers. And maybe I keep typing my blog entries directly into HTML, but the whole goal was to create a fun little machine/toy to allow myself a place to be creative and to share that with others. The real thing I need to work on first is the art section next. After that, maybe a contact page would do me good. Once I get all the meat of the website in, I can start adding more flair to it. Do some fun things that I don't normally get to do. I was thinking of having a little character hanging on a sign and if you click the sign enough, they fall down, and the page length increases until the hit the ground (in this case the footer). I think that would be a fun project to work on once I get this place more up. For now, I think this is a good start.
